Walking on Francigena is a commercial brand of Olibon Travel SL, Avenida Maria Cristina 1, 46001 Valencia, Spain, CIF B16847766.Olibon Travel SL is the legal entity responsible for the organization and sale of the travel packages
described in this contract.
In these Terms and Conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Olibon Travel SL operating under the brand Walking on Francigena, and “you” or “the customer” refers to the person signing the contract and all participants included in the booking.
We specialize in the design and organization of tailor-made travel packages along the Via Francigena, including accommodation, luggage transport and other related tourism services.
Each package is customized according to the specific requests made by the customer and confirmed in the final quotation.
By signing the contract, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.
All travel proposals and quotations are provided on request and are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
Availability of accommodations and related services may change without prior notice until the booking is formally confirmed.
A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the signed contract and the required payment as specified in the quotation.
Until both the signed contract and the required payment are received, no services shall be considered reserved, secured or guaranteed.
We shall not be held responsible for any changes in availability or rates occurring prior to the formal confirmation of the booking.
The quotation issued to the customer specifies:
Any modification requested before confirmation may result in a revised quotation.
Once the booking is confirmed, the contractual relationship is binding for all participants included in the reservation.
All prices are expressed in Euro and are based on the rates, conditions and availability applicable at the time the quotation is issued.
Each quotation includes a specific validity period indicated within the proposal itself and shall not be considered valid beyond the stated expiration date.

Any variation in the number of participants, room occupancy or requested services, whether occurring before or after confirmation, shall result in a price recalculation based on the new conditions and applicable supplier rates.
In the event of an unforeseen increase in costs imposed directly by suppliers after confirmation, and not resulting from any modification requested by the customer or from any change in the number of participants, we reserve the right to adjust the package price accordingly.
If such supplier-imposed increase exceeds 10% of the total confirmed package price, the customer shall have the right to cancel the affected services in writing without penalty.
This right of cancellation shall not apply to price variations arising from changes in room occupancy, participant reduction, voluntary modifications requested by the customer or circumstances attributable to the customer.
The cancellation of a service under this provision shall not entitle the customer to cancel the entire booking without penalty, and all remaining services shall remain subject to the original contractual conditions and cancellation policy.
The quotation and the confirmed booking are based on the specific number of participants and the room configuration indicated in the final proposal.
Room rates are calculated according to the confirmed occupancy for each room type.
Any reduction in the number of participants assigned to a room after confirmation shall result in a price recalculation for that room based on the new occupancy and the applicable supplier rates.
In the event that a participant cancels and the original room configuration is no longer applicable, the remaining participants assigned to that room shall bear any resulting price difference.
Triple and quadruple room rates are based on the availability of such room types at the time of confirmation.
Room assignments are subject to final availability at each accommodation.
If a triple or quadruple room is not available at the time of booking confirmation, alternative room configurations, such as double and or single rooms, shall be arranged based on availability and the corresponding price difference shall apply.
No per-person rate is guaranteed independently from the confirmed room occupancy.
The accommodation level included in the package is determined by the category of services purchased and not solely by the official rating or category of the assigned property.
In cases where a higher-category accommodation is assigned for operational reasons, availability or internal room management by the supplier, the customer shall be entitled only to the services and benefits expressly included in the purchased package.
Any additional services, amenities or privileges offered by the assigned property that are not expressly included in the confirmed package shall not be considered part of the contractual agreement unless specifically stated in writing.
For bookings made 30 days or less before the first scheduled service, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.
For bookings made more than 30 days before the first scheduled service, a non-refundable deposit equal to 20% of the total package price is required at the time of confirmation.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the departure date.
If the balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and apply the applicable cancellation charges as set out in these Terms and Conditions.
Payments may be made by bank transfer or by credit card.
Payments made by credit card are subject to an additional administrative fee of 6% of the total amount.This fee reflects the financial costs applied by secure international payment platforms and banking providers that process and guarantee the transaction.
Bank transfers originating from outside the European Union may be subject to an additional administrative fee of 20 Euro. This amount reflects the banking charges applied to us upon receipt of International Extra Europe transfers.
All payments must be received in full and free of bank charges.
The booking shall be considered fully confirmed only upon receipt of the required payment within the specified deadlines.
Any cancellation must be communicated in writing by email.
The date of receipt of the written cancellation shall determine the applicable cancellation charge.
For cancellations made more than 60 days before the departure date, the cancellation charge shall be equal to the deposit paid, corresponding to 20% of the total package price.
For cancellations made from 59 to 40 days before the departure date, 30% of the total package price shall be charged.
For cancellations made from 39 to 31 days before the departure date, 50% of the total package price shall be charged.
For cancellations made less than 30 days before the departure date, 100% of the total package price shall be charged.
All percentages are calculated on the total confirmed package price.
Cancellation charges apply per room or per confirmed service configuration.
In the event that one participant sharing a room cancels, the remaining participant or participants assigned to that room shall be responsible for any price adjustment resulting from the change in occupancy.
No refund shall be due for unused services, voluntary interruption of the trip or early departure after the first scheduled service has commenced.
Any request to modify the confirmed booking must be communicated in writing by email.
Requests for changes are subject to availability and may result in additional costs imposed by suppliers.
Any modification affecting travel dates, accommodations, destinations, number of participants or room configuration shall be treated as a cancellation of the original services and a new booking under the conditions applicable at the time of the modification.
In such cases, the cancellation policy set out in these Terms and Conditions shall apply to the original booking.
If the requested modification does not affect travel dates, destination or number of participants, and can be accommodated without canceling the original services, an administrative fee of 50 Euro may be applied in addition to any supplier-imposed costs.
No modifications may be requested less than 21 days before the departure date.
Any modification requested within 21 days of departure shall be treated as a cancellation and the applicable cancellation charges shall apply.
Any special request, including but not limited to specific room location, bed configuration, dietary requirements, ground floor accommodation or particular views, must be communicated in writing before the final quotation is issued.
Requests communicated after the issuance of the quotation or after confirmation are subject to availability and may result in additional costs or be treated as a modification under Section 7 of these Terms and Conditions.
We will make reasonable efforts to transmit duly communicated special requests to the relevant suppliers, but such requests cannot be guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing in the final booking confirmation.
No liability shall attach to us for failure to comply with any special request that was not communicated prior to confirmation or was not expressly confirmed in writing.
Travel insurance is not included in the package price.
Although not mandatory, we strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure.
Such insurance should include, at minimum, coverage for trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal injury, third-party liability, repatriation, luggage loss or theft and travel interruption.
The customer acknowledges that participation in walking or cycling itineraries involves inherent risks and confirms that adequate personal insurance coverage has been arranged.
We shall not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages that would have been covered by appropriate travel insurance.
We organize and sell travel packages that may include accommodation, transportation of persons or luggage, transfers, guided services, experiences and any other tourism services requested and confirmed in the itinerary.
All such services are provided by independent third-party suppliers selected on the basis of professional standards and reliability.
These suppliers operate under their own management and operational control and are responsible for the proper execution of the services they provide.
Our responsibility is limited to the proper organization and coordination of the confirmed travel package in accordance with the agreed itinerary and applicable law.
We shall not be liable for operational delays, interruptions or service deficiencies attributable to the direct performance of third-party suppliers, except where such liability is imposed by mandatory provisions of applicable law.
In cases where specific services require the customer to enter into a separate agreement directly with a third-party supplier, such as bicycle rental services, the terms and conditions of that supplier shall govern the contractual relationship between the customer and the supplier.
Any liability for damage, loss, misuse, late return or other obligations arising from such services shall rest exclusively with the customer and the respective supplier.
We shall not be responsible for disputes, claims or financial obligations arising from separate agreements entered into directly between the customer and third-party providers.
Our liability for the proper organization of the travel package is limited to direct damages resulting from proven negligence in the performance of our contractual obligations.
Where a claim relates to a specific and identifiable service included in the package, our liability shall in no event exceed the price allocated to that specific service.
Liability shall extend to the total package price only in cases of proven serious breach that substantially prevents the execution of the essential elements of the confirmed itinerary, and only to the extent permitted by applicable mandatory law.
We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or incidental damages, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, loss of profit or emotional distress, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable law.
We shall not be liable for the failure or improper performance of any obligation under the contract where such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control.
Force majeure events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, epidemics or pandemics, government restrictions, border closures, quarantine measures, acts of war, civil unrest, strikes, transportation disruptions, or any other extraordinary and unavoidable circumstances.
Where such circumstances objectively prevent the execution of the confirmed travel package, the performance of the contract may be suspended for the duration of the impediment.
In such cases, the customer shall be entitled to reschedule the travel package within 12 months from the date on which the official restrictions that prevented the execution of the trip are lifted by the competent authorities.
Rescheduling shall be subject to availability and to the rates applicable for the new travel dates.
If the cost of the rescheduled services exceeds the original package price due to seasonality, supplier rate changes or availability constraints, the customer shall be responsible for paying the difference.
If the customer does not wish to reschedule within the indicated period, any refund shall be limited to the amounts effectively recovered from third-party suppliers, after deduction of non-recoverable costs already incurred.
The travel packages offered may include walking, cycling, horseback riding, transfers by car or other vehicles, thermal baths, swimming in the sea, lakes or pools, and other outdoor or leisure activities carried out in natural environments or public areas.
The customer acknowledges that such activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical exertion, uneven terrain, weather conditions, interaction with animals, road traffic, water-related risks, mechanical failures, and other unforeseeable circumstances beyond our direct control.
By confirming the booking and commencing the trip, the customer voluntarily accepts and assumes all ordinary risks associated with the nature of these activities.
Each participant declares that they are in suitable physical and medical condition to undertake the planned itinerary and related activities and that they will act with due care, prudence and personal responsibility throughout the journey.
We shall not be liable for injuries, damages or losses resulting from risks that are inherent to the activities undertaken, except in cases of proven negligence directly attributable to our organizational responsibilities.
In the event of any discrepancy between the confirmed services and those actually provided, the customer must promptly inform the relevant local supplier, such as the accommodation provider, driver or activity operator, in order to allow an immediate resolution where possible.
If the issue cannot be resolved locally, the customer must contact us without undue delay using the contact details provided in the travel documentation.
Failure to report a problem in a timely manner may limit the customer’s right to claim compensation, as it may prevent us from taking appropriate corrective action.
Any formal complaint must be submitted in writing by email within 15 days from the end of the travel package and must include a detailed description of the issue and any supporting documentation.
Complaints submitted after this period may not be taken into consideration.
These Terms and Conditions and the contractual relationship between the parties shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable European regulations and the laws of the country in which Olibon Travel SL is legally established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in the country of the customer’s residence.
For any dispute arising out of or relating to the interpretation, validity or execution of the contract, the competent court shall be that of the registered office of Olibon Travel SL, unless otherwise provided by mandatory consumer protection regulations.
Personal data provided by the customer shall be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) and applicable data protection laws.
Personal data are collected and processed for the purpose of organizing and executing the travel package, managing payments, fulfilling contractual obligations and complying with legal requirements. The provision of personal data is necessary for the conclusion and execution of the contract and failure to provide such data may make it impossible to complete the booking.
Personal data may be shared with third-party suppliers strictly for the purpose of delivering the confirmed services and in compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
Data will be retained only for the period necessary to fulfill contractual and legal obligations.
The customer has the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of their personal data, as well as the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

Payments by bank transfer must be made using the company bank details indicated below.
All bank charges must be borne by the sender and the full invoiced amount must be received in our account.
The customer must indicate the booking reference number in the payment description to ensure correct allocation of the funds.
